. Thats right singular. She only eats the ONE slipper. 
I've forgotten my slippers out on a few occasions, and each time she eats it when we leave the house. But why does she only ruin one?! Now my left foot is in heaven and my right feels like the ugly stepsister.
Oh man, I'm so glad our puppy doesn't like to eat shoes! ... Although I did have a dog once that ate EVERYTHING! Came home one day to my favorite flip flops gone, several books off the book shelf eaten in half, trash can tipped over and eaten AND my glasses (that were in a case) chewed through. I hated that dog.
